How to clean Perspex Prints
Duster or lint-free cloth
A soft lint-free cotton cloth is the easiest way for cleaning plexiglass and removing dust and slight dirt.
Damp cloth
Slight dirt can easily be removed with a damp cloth. Attention: Micro fabric cloth can cause tiny scratches. Also avoid too much pressure.
Glass cleaner
Glass cleaner specifically for acrylic glass is ok. But normal glass cleaner will work as well!
Use gloves
By using gloves you avoid finger prints on the glass when hanging the print.
Tips for cleaning your Perspex Print
Just like "normal" glass acrylic glass can easily be cleaned. Keep these tips in mind:
- Make sure that you don't use abrasive cleaning supplies as they can cause very tiny scratches. Use a simple lint-free cotton cloth.
- Do not use alcohol, petrol or other agressive liquids. These will destroy the acrylic glass. A normal glass cleaner is totally fine.
- When cleaning the acrylic glass avoid too much pressure. Be kind!
Did you know? Avoid hanging your Acrylic Print in direct sunlight. This will preserve the color intensity.

They are not suitable for cleaning a metal print. They can destroy the print!

Tips for cleaning Aluminium Prints
When cleaning a direct print on aluminium the most important thing is to avoid agressive cleaners and pressure as the print itself is not covered by any layer. So always be gentle - thus you will enjoy the photo for a very long time.
- Avoid causing scratches. Use a simple lint-free cotton cloth - no micro-fibre.
- Avoid cleaning with too much pressure as this will remove the colors of your print. Be kind!
- Do not use any cleaning liquids such as a glass cleaner, alcohol or other agressive liquids.
Did you know? Metal Prints are weatherproof and suitbale for outdoors. But avoid direct sunlight.
